Summer Vacay - Day 16: Humpty Dumpty Had A Great Fall

This post is a continuation from the start of our Naked Egg journey. If you'd like to read up on that first you can find it here.
Ready To OpenSquishy Egg
After staring at our eggy we broke it out after lunch. The kids had noticed that it was 'yellow' and bubbly before we cracked it open and Brayden wasted no time trying to get it out. He was a little too weirded out by the squishiness of the egg to really get a good hold on it and so we had to resort to a spoon to his dirty work. Once it was worked out the kids passed it around, squishing it, rubbing off the little bit of shell left, and giggling at the strangeness of feeling an egg that was naked (especially Madison)! Ew, gross.

It was a little different to hold the egg and it felt sort of nasty. You couldn't resist squishing it but didn't want to in case it popped in your hands. We tried to find the yolk but it was a little yellow so we tried holding it up to a light to find a darker patch which maybe we could see it? We decided to put it back into the vinegar for another day to see if it would do anything else but sadly as Brayden was holding it for the last feel before going back into its bath it sort of flew out of his hands and splatted on the floor. To get over our mourning we just put a new egg in some fresh vinegar and we'll do it all again in 2 days. No big deal.
