Stanley Park

There is something about the small around Stanley Park that I love. Taking in those deep breaths of fresh air filled with the scent of cedar, moss and the sea breeze. Stepping out of the car at the park with the city sky line to the right and the rich green to the left was the most invigorating feeling. The kids were immediately excited to see the horse trolley and the brightly coloured totem poles and started burning off that energy.

We walked along the sea wall for quite a while stopping to pick some wild raspberries and watch the Canadian Geese swim. We had decided to take a packed lunch and have a picnic. We found the perfect spot at the top of a hill in the shade that over looked a free water park. Our lunches were so yummy, fresh B.C. cherries, watermelon and sandwiches that we enjoyed out of the heat. I just love the fresh fruits in the summer time.

After the kids were done their food they ran down to the spray park and ran around with the other kids.
Such a fabulous morning!
