Our Day at Lonsdale Quay and Gastown

Octopus
Today was another busy day as we tried to fit in the sites of Vancouver. We took the sea bus up to Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver and walked around the market. We bought ourselves some nice halibut steaks marinated in lemon garlic sauce along with a salmon fillet for the BBQ. I loved the different smells from the spice shops, fresh breads and little restaurants set up. I have to say though the octopus caught all our attention as soon as we entered the market!
After taking the sea bus back to downtown Vancouver we took advantage of our location and walked around Gastown looking in some of the different shops. We were lucky enough to hear the Gastown Clock blow it's tune at 4pm and watch the steam blow out the top!

We then took the train back to Kaitlyn's house to BBQ up our fresh foods from the Quay and a picnic in the backyard. It was such a nice night and the kids really enjoyed being able to run around her yard and we were all able to enjoy our super fresh fish which was excellent! Good job chiefs!
