Yay! We have some friends here from Canada right now. Yippee for us. Yesterday while Ryan was sleeping I was able to take them to a few of the local sites and show them a little of what Bacolod has to offer. We went to The Ruins and walked through the beautiful destroyed mansion while the kids ran wild through all the open space and nice soft grass. It is just so pretty and peaceful out there.
After The Ruins we stopped by a Buddhist Temple and walked around the grounds looking at the lions, the shrines and the landscaping. The kids were so respectful after a pep talk about being quiet and not running around like children out of the wild. It was nice to walk around, they had a little garden area set up and even though it was right off a busy road it seemed to be a lot quieter.
I always enjoy seeing these beautiful places in Bacolod. It reminds me of the natural beauty I drive by everyday that now is just a 'normal' part of my life.
